Diane Warner

Owner of the Backyard Oasis Pond & Garden Center

Diane Warner is the owner of the Backyard Oasis Pond & Garden Center. She not only gets our crew started each morning, but she works in the green house, store, and office. Her favorite part of the job is using her eye for design detail and helping our customers create the oasis of their dreams right at home. She loves helping the customers learn how to maintain their water features and how they can create additional beauty through plants and decorations. In her free time, Diane's favorite activity is anything that involves spending time with her family, friends, and especially her grandchildren.

John Warner

Sales and Bid Manager

John Warner, otherwise known as JW or Johnny, is married to the boss, Diane, and has been part of the Backyard Oasis Pond & Garden Center as he says since "the beginning". John is the friendly face you will see if you want an estimate for any work to be done. When he is not out in the office or in the field, you may also see him in the store helping customers or answering questions. What John loves most about his job is seeing the smile on the customers’ faces when his idea comes to life as a water feature. If given the chance to have some "down time", John loves to go hunting, fishing, riding his bike, attending concerts, and hanging out with family and friends. He especially loves spending time with his wife and grandchildren.

Wyatt

Pond Artisan and Crew Foreman

Since starting with the Backyard Oasis Pond & Garden Center right out of high school in 2014, Wyatt has quickly gained experience working as a Pond Tech, assisting customers in troubleshooting and planning their ponds. He also works in our service department installing fountains and aeration units, and gaining real hands-on experience. When asked what he enjoys most about the work he does, Wyatt said, "The community and the people I work with. I love seeing a smiling customer after a job." When Wyatt is not creating water features, he enjoys skiing, camping, and traveling.

Gaylon

Office Manager

Gaylon has worked with our company for over 20 years. She started as a volunteer just to help her best friend and sister-in-law, Diane, who then became her boss. Gaylon has seen many changes over the years. When she first started, the office was in the basement of John and Diane's home; and at one point, the store was set up in their garage. From writing out handwritten receipts to now being fully computerized with a storefront, the growth of the business has been amazing for her to watch. Gaylon enjoys engaging in conversations with the customer either on the phone or when they come in. She likes that our customers are repeat customers that make them feel more like family. She especially loves that she gets to work with her best friend almost daily as her motto is "It's not what you do, but who you do it with." When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She loves to read, she loves the beach and relaxing inside by the fireplace or outside by a fire pit.

Nicolas

Pond Artisan and Crew Foreman

Nick started as a crewman with our company over 20 years ago before we were even known as the Backyard Oasis Pond & Garden Center. Nick has developed his pond skills through training, seminars, classes, and hands-on experience. Nick leads his own crew and they not only clean and treat ponds, but install fountains and aeration units, and help to create water features for customers to enjoy. What Nick enjoys most about work is being outside and doing something creative. It gives him great satisfaction to see a project from start to finish. When he is not working, Nick enjoys mowing grass, fishing, camping, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Kyle

Pond Artisan

Kyle has been working for about 10 years for our company. He started part-time when he was in high school and worked throughout college and transitioned to full-time this past year. Kyle enjoys making the customer's visions and dreams become a reality and he loves that he gets to work with one of his best friends (Wyatt). When Kyle isn't working, he enjoys being outdoors, fishing, golfing, and anything he can enjoy with family and friends.

Kelly

Sales Associate and Customer Care

Kelly has worked at the Backyard Oasis Pond & Garden Center for about 10 years. She is a fabulous asset to our team. Her organizing skills are useful in both the office and the store. Her kind and gentle nature with people help each customer to feel welcome. Kelly's role includes, but is not limited to answering the phone, placing orders for the store, and helping in the greenhouse. Kelly enjoys helping our wonderful customers with anything that they need to enjoy and beautify their water gardens and yards. When she isn't working, Kelly enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She loves to go camping as often as she can. She also enjoys crafting and taking walks.

Hannah

Marketing Campaign Manager

Hannah has been with the Backyard Oasis Pond & Garden Center as part of our Support Administration Team for a few years. She has a background in customer service, web design, and marketing. Hannah helps devise marketing campaigns and oversees our social media accounts such as our website and Facebook. She has been expanding her pond and water garden knowledge to assist customers with all questions they may have. What she enjoys most about her job is being able to help create a more functional and enjoyable experience for the customers. When not working, Hannah enjoys camping out at a local café with her computer, a good book, and a cup of tea.

Kaylee

Greenhouse and Store Clerk

Kaylee has been a great asset to our team. She has gained much knowledge since she has been with us. You can find her in the greenhouse helping customers with plants and fish or in the store at the cash register. In her spare time, Kaylee likes to play disc golf and hang out with her boyfriend at Silver Lake riding their RZR.

Hayden

Green House & Store Clerk

Hayden Windell works with our plants and fish and makes sure they are looking great. Though he is new to our team, in the summer of 2023, he has taken the time to learn our products. What he likes best about his job is the environment and his co-workers. He likes that he somewhat works with nature. When Hayden is not working he spends his time working out, hanging with friends, fishing, and playing video games.

Pond Tech

Tim started working for the Backyard Oasis in the Spring of 2023. Something that Tim enjoys about working at the Backyard Oasis is that each day is different. He loves helping helping the crew build ponds and waterfalls. The reason why he enjoys this is because it is a skill that not too many people have  and are able to do. He realizes that being part of a team that designs and builds ponds is something that when completed is work that every is able to enjoy.
